Bissli BBQ and Pizza Chips

Price:  $0.99 for two bags
Location:  Jack's World

Review:  I got these Bissli chips for two bags for $0.99 cents at Jack's World. I was literally shocked that they were on sale for so much less because I love Bissli chips. They are made from wheat flour produced in Israel. They have a distinct flavor that I cannot get enough. I like the pizza flavor and it actually tastes like a hint of tomato/cheese pizza. The BBQ flavor is a screwy chip shape and it tasted a bit like BBQ too. The chips are crunchy and oily, and my fingers were soaked in grease. I used to eat these all the time when I lived in DC and they would make so happy on the inside.

However, I found out after reading the ingredient list that the Bissli chips have MSG. No wonder my mouth is so dry and salty after I eat the chips. I have sworn off junk food, so I am not sure I am going to having any more.

Result: These Bissli chips taste so good, but are so bad for me.

Sanuki Udon Noodle

Price: $1.99 for 6 pack bag
Location: Fei Long Supermarket

Review: I found these udon noodles on sale and I am so glad for it. I wanted to make a noodle soup and this is a great product. The noodles cook very fast and they are very springy.  They are not dense or mushy - at least when I cook them. You can definitely use these noodles to make a stir-fried dish, but I mostly use it for noodle soups.

They come in a 6 pack and go straight into the freezer immediately or until you need to use it. I would not defrost it because the noodles turn a different pasty white color.

Result: So glad I found a new brand of noodles!

Calavo Sea Salt Tortilla Chips

Price:  $0.99 a bag
Location:  Jack's World

Review: I got these for $0.99 cents at Jack's World and they are totally worthy every penny. You can taste the sea salt on the tortilla chip and it is crunchy good. It is not a weak or flimsy chip, and it holds up well with salsa. I think it is even better than the pricey brands of Frito Lay tortilla chips. I think the best part is it only less than 1 dollar for 13oz of chips.  It is such a great deal that I wanted to buy more.

The paper bag is pretty neat and not your typical chip bag. I usually snack on the chip plain during my mid-morning snack at work. I approve of this product.

Result: More chips, please!
